Dear all visitors!

Welcome to Jadranka Official Web Site Jadranka.com !! This page supports a famous Yugoslav singer "Jadranka".

She was borne in Sarajevo and grew up in Dubrovnik, which is considered one of the most beautiful city in the world. When she was 18 years, her great musical career began in Germany, because her uncle invited her into the music company, which fulfilled concerts in many european countries at that time. In 1981, she wrote and sang the official song of the winter olympic games in Sarajevo.

She had an enormous interest in the japanese culture (especially Ukiyoe and Haiku) and she decided to go to Japan, in order to complete her recording. But unexpectedly civil war occurred in Bosnia and she could not come back to the country for long time. Regrettably, the Olympic stadium, where she sang the song, became huge grave for the victims of the bloody civil war between Serbians, Croats and Moslems.

Today Jadranka lives in Japan and sings with the various musicians, accompanying by musical instrument SAZ (traditional instrument of the yugoslavian folklore).
